Vehicles

Below you will find all articles on Fire Vehicles, or Appliances on the site.
If you are looking for specific vehicles, you can use the search function or Category pages. These will be updated as more articles are posted.

Where possible, the fleet number of the vehicles is used as the main identifier and included in the title, along with service, make and type of appliance. Included in the post is a set of information as standard where available and includes fleet identifiers, make and model, body builder and stations served at.

For some services, this information is relatively easy to identify, for others it is quite difficult or doesn’t exist. Initial posts will concentrate on NSW and WA services. WA Fire & Rescue and Fire & Rescue NSW use reasonable easy fleet identifiers, while WA Bush Fire Service the easiest identifier is the registration number. NSW Rural Fire Service is difficult with most appliances not having a Rego plate (not required under legislation) – where possible the aerial identification number will be used, or the vehicle filed under brigade name and build year where available, or year of record.

As with all posts on this site, if you have any additional information or corrections, please comment or contact us.
