Gungahlin 11C is a CAFS tanker – Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) uses an air compressor along with foam induction to provide a more effective application of foam for firefighting. The foam produced from the system can be used to coat buildings, providing a protective barrier from radiant heat and ember attack due to bushfire as an example. CAFS is becoming more prevalent across Australia as agencies search for options to safeguard communities in the urban/bushland interface.

The tanker was built by SPEL in New Zealand on an Isuzu FTS 750 dual cab chassis.
