Car 002 is a ‘Mark 5 Pumper’ and was the first built by Mills Tui in 2003. Photographed below in NSW, when it was part of the contingent assisting with the devastating October 2013 bushfires around Sydney. It’s part of the MFB reserve pool.
In MFB tradition, this appliance shows a dedication to an MFB officer, with Car002 dedicated to N E Van Every, Chief Fire Officer 1974 – 1979

The current West Melbourne Fire Station in Batman Street opened in August 1964, replacing the 1919 station in William Street.
The Station is located within Central District (based at FS1 Eastern Hill) and operates 2 Pumpers.
